Center Talk # 3
Sawasdee, ka
In recent weeks, CCDKM has been working actively towards one of its key goals – to be an on-line hub of open
source material for learning, sharing, participation and coordination among less advantaged groups and
communities within Thailand and the ASEAN region. A youth media focused database is put together for
our website. It will include useful websites and e-research references covering television, radio, DIY video,
cyberculture, print media, the dramatic arts, media literacy and youth media content production.
One other recent initiative has produced positive outcomes - a roundtable seminar among major stakeholders
and regional innovators in the area of development communication. Organized by staff and post-graduate
students in the School of Communication at Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, Bangkok, the theme for
discussion was “New Paths for Development Communication in Knowledge Based Societies”. Contributors
