The Research Center of Communication and Development Knowledge Management [CCDKM]

Center Strategies

The Center's work is participatory and interdisciplinary combining relevant approaches and perspectives from the
humanities, the creative arts and the social sciences. Projects will be sponsored, developed and evaluated through the
Center's advisory committee and its team of specialist consultants.

Projects undertaken in conjunction with the Center will work towards:

Investigation of new and deeper understandings and knowledge about the processes of social, cultural, political
and personal development and change at local, national and transnational levels. Research undertaken will be connected
to practical application and field work.

Promotion of participatory learning and sharing among all stakeholders and relevant networks both local and
global, with the aim of integrated sustainable development especially within the Greater Mekong Sub-region

Coordination and mutual sharing of facilities, particularly those connected to communication, giving special attention
to new media. On-line management of knowledge will be a priority, with a view to generating accessible open source information

A focus on non-mainstream and marginal groups and communities, providing and developing  programs and resources
to facilitate empowerment and a sense of self-worth

Facilitation of campaigns, events and activities in order to generate wide public discussion of issues related to
         development
