Access to information is crucial for making informed decisions. In order to ensure sustainable food security for healthy and safe consumers in ASEAN, farmers in the region need to be connected and be able to share their knowledge, experience and skills.
Proper knowledge of and familiarity with the use of ICT can help young entrepreneurs further develop and better manage their businesses. Digital literacy and the use of modern technology tools are the prerequisites in today’s business. Such knowledge and skills must therefore be transferred to entrepreneurs, especially women and young business operators, as a matter of necessity.
Thaitelecentre, Chiang Mai, Thailand – With 18 young entrepreneurs from the different communities in Chiang Mai, the ASEAN Foundation (AF), Microsoft Citizenship and the Research Center of Communication and Knowledge Management (CCDKM) joined hands in conducting the “ICT Training for SMEs, 2013 – Training of Trainers”.
