CCDKM AND NBTC BOOST EMPOWERMENT FOR RURAL WOMEN IN LAMPANG
The Research Center of Communication and Development Knowledge Management (CCDKM) and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) join forces to strengthen Thai rural women’s capacities in Smart SME Business solutions. In Thailand, 2.7 million SMEs account for 98.5% of total businesses, employing 11.8 million people or about 80% of the workforce. SMEs are indispensable in economic development, creating opportunities for income generation and distribution, poverty reduction and people’s empowerment, especially for women.
