We live in an increasingly digital world where technology is no longer an additive to development programs, but often a core tool for us to connect with our constituencies, understand our progress, and communicate our successes.
Most development organization staff, and a growing number of the individuals they work with, have some experience using ICTs. However, many development organizations are still struggling to use technology in their programs, and there is the perception that as a whole, we are lagging far behind the private sector in our technology skills.
We do have some unique advantages, particularly non-profit, non-governmental, and civil society organizations that can access low cost or donated technology, and corporate discount programs, but where to invest scarce technology funds to have the most impact?
